DASA Student Life Social Media Takeover Agreement
About Us
NC State University’s Division of Academic and Student Affairs (DASA) promotes the success of the whole student by showing our community, particularly current and potential students, what life is like as a member of the Pack. Our division consists of 55+ programs aimed at making your student life at NC State extraordinary — some of which you might already be familiar with like NC State Wellness and Recreation (Carmichael Gym), NC State Housing (your residence hall), and NC State Student Health. They are all us, @NCStateDASA!
By accepting this agreement, you will be authorized to access or create content for an NC State DASA social media account during a previously agreed upon timeframe.
We have chosen you to represent the division and student life at NC State University because we believe you will showcase the best we have to offer. We want you to use your personality in a unique and respectable way, allowing DASA’s social media followers to get to know you and the student experience at NC State University. We want to cultivate a connection to our current and prospective students.
The tone of DASA’s student life content should be consistently positive, engaging, and informative; however, we encourage you to capture your Wolfpack experience and share your unique perspective as a student with us and our followers.
One simple rule: If someone around the age of a grandparent wouldn’t like your post, don’t post it.
We want it to be super easy for you to send us content for your takeover, that’s why we only have this one rule. So as you make your awesome social content and send it to us, be sure to ask yourself if it breaks our one rule.
Some things that would break this rule:
- Inappropriate language and hate speech
- Nudity, violence, or sexual references
- References to illegal activity or illegal organizations
- Personal information about other people without their permission
- Business promotions
- Opinions about politics or university policies

Terms
The DASA marketing team moderates all content on @NCStateDASA social media accounts. Content found in violation of this agreement will be deleted. Status as the takeover student may be revoked at any time. By creating content for DASA takeovers (e.g., photo, video, text, etc.), you understand and agree that NC State’s Division of Academic and Student Affairs, anyone acting on behalf of NC State’s Division of Academic and Student Affairs, and NC State’s Division of Academic and Student Affairs’ licensees, successors, and assigns, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, your entry, name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, statements about the takeover, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent.
