Maria Limmen

Bio

Maria is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner. She is the manager and provider of NC State’s Occupational Medicine Department. She also heads the Contact Tracing Program. She joined NC State in January 2020 after practicing in the private sector for many years. Originally from the Netherlands, she is a graduate of the University of Leiden, after which she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Misericordia University, and her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from Duke University. Maria is also certified in Wilderness Medicine. Within the Staff Senate, she is the vice-chair of the Resources and Environment Committee. She is honored to serve as your Senator and will work hard to make every day in DASA, and at NC State, the best it can be for all employees.
