Development

From annual fund appeals to major gift cultivation, we facilitate strategic efforts that build donor relationships and secure financial support to advance the mission of DASA and our programs.

The DASA Development team facilitates support for the division through a variety of channels and outreach, including

  • Serving as a strategic advisor for fundraising plans.
  • Managing Day of Giving and other key campaigns.
  • Partnering with programs to craft compelling stories and appeals.
  • Helping identify prospective donors and funding opportunities.
  • Coordinating stewardship and impact reporting.

Types of Development

Annual Giving

Annual giving consists of regular, recurring contributions (typically under $25,000). These are typically broad appeals focused on donor engagement through large email, direct mail or online outreach.

Examples of annual giving include Day of Giving, crowdfunding campaigns and year-end appeals.

Major Gifts

Major gifts include larger gifts (varies, but often $25,000+), sometimes pledged over several years. This usually involves one-on-one relationship building between a donor and a gift officer, strategic conversations and personalized proposals. Major gifts often support named funds, endowments or capital projects.
