Who do I tell if I get a spam or phishing email?

While spam is usually harmless, phishing is a malicious intent to obtain sensitive information by disguising a message as coming from a trustworthy website, person, or company.

Please see more information about spam and how to report it here: https://oit.ncsu.edu/my-it/email-calendaring/spam/

If you receive a phishing message, do not reply to it.  Instead, please report it to Google Mail as follows:
1. Open the Gmail message you’d like to report.
2. At the top-right corner of the message, click on the More icon (three vertical dots).
3. From the list that opens, select Report Phishing.

For more information about phishing and what to look for, see OIT’s article here:  https://oit.ncsu.edu/my-it/email-calendaring/phishing/
