iPads Won’t Load GPS in the Case Lobby

Sometimes the iPads in the Case Lobby won’t let the monitors log into GPS for checkin/checkout. When this happens it means there is either an update to iOS or update to Google Chrome that needs to happen, or both need to be updated.

First check Google Chrome for updates by following the instructions under iOS found here:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1czT_aLwBdDMOYibNMo16XTnoMeXaPq53FGOMLJfQPOM/edit?pli=1#

Next, check to make sure the iOS is up to date by following the instructions here:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204204#:~:text=Update%20your%20iPhone%2C%20iPad%2C%20or%20iPod%20touch%20wirelessly&text=Plug%20your%20device%20into%20power,Tap%20Install%20Now.

If you are a student or monitor and neither of the above solutions resolves your issue, please submit a request through ASPSA’s Technology or Facility Issue Report.
ASPSA staff members, please submit a request to dasa-tech-help@ncsu.edu for outstanding issues with GPS in Case.
