If I drop my device or spill liquid and it breaks, who is responsible for paying for repairs?

The department for which you work is responsible for covering the cost of repairs and replacements for any technology that is damaged as a result of a spill, drop, or physical damage. Spills and drops fall under “insurance” repairs, which, unlike warranty repairs, have a cost associated with the replacement of a part. All DASA computers are purchased with accidental damage insurance. If your spill or drop occurs in the one year of additional support that DASA provides after the insurance/warranty expiration date, your strategic partner may need to have a discussion with your supervisor about replacing your device rather than repairing it, as the costs of repair past insurance expiration can sometimes be similar to or greater than the cost of a new machine.
