How do I set a default program for PDF Files?

DASA is in the process of migrating from Adobe to FoxIt PDF Editor Pro for opening and using PDF files. Due to licensing changes from the vendor, we will no longer be able to support Adobe Reader or Acrobat as the preferred .pdf editor. Once you have FoxIt PDF Editor Pro installed on your computer, follow the instructions below to set FoxIt as your default .pdf reader.

Right click on a PDF thumbnail file, then choose Properties

In the file’s properties box, choose Change

Select FoxIt Reader. Please note that if Adobe is an option in this list, that it will not work once opened after August of 2022.

Click OK in the dialogue box.

Click OK to close the Properties box.

Now the Adobe PDF files will open in FoxIt reader.
