APRIL 25, 2024 – DASA Technology Services created a new guide for DASA units looking for a data cleanup framework as we mark the six-month warning for bringing your Shared Drives under 15GB and My Drive/Gmail under 100GB! As a reminder, October 25th, 2024, is the deadline for NC State University faculty and staff to bring their Google Workspace drives, Unity, and Generic accounts into compliance with the new quotas.
The new guide provides an administrative framework for getting started and a sample workflow to support your unit’s efforts. This is based on work within DASA Technology Services and the piecemeal guidance we’ve been providing when asked. It is the consolidation of this information into a single resource.
There are many ways to accomplish the Google cleanup tasks, but for those looking to see one approach others have taken, this document will help!
