OCTOBER 23, 2023 – DASA Technology Services would like to remind purchasers within the Division about technology procurement for hardware, software, and technology services based on several incidents that have happened in the past few weeks.

This webpage will walk you through the process and timelines for various purchases. It covers topics such as:
- Who can buy which items?
- What is the timeline for having installed and/or web-based applications reviewed by the Security & Compliance team in the Office of Information Technology?
- How do we handle free software?
- Who purchases infrastructure such as telephones, networking, and cellular voice and data services?
Following these guidelines helps protect NC State’s network and data. It ensures services we want to use with students are accessible so that everyone in the wolfpack benefits from their implementation, and makes sure that you’re following appropriate financial best practices for the division and university.
