Online Training Available – SHRA Performance Management

Effective April 1, 2017, and consistent with the start of the 2017-2018 performance appraisal cycle, NC State launched a new SHRA Performance Appraisal Program established by UNC General Administration.  In addition to individual goals, the new program introduces institutional goals, which all SHRA employees in the UNC System will be measured against. The new program is focused on streamlining the content of the performance plan, standardizing the categories for evaluation, increasing the accuracy and consistency of performance ratings, and promoting ongoing and effective communication between employees and supervisors.

Over the past few months, NC State’s Employee Relations team has collaborated with campus partners to educate faculty and staff on the new program through traditional classroom learning sessions.  As part of the launch of the new SHRA Performance Appraisal Program, we are pleased to announce that an online training module has been developed in an effort to further connect employees with the program. Employees are highly encouraged to learn about the new program by either enrolling in a classroom session or completing the online training module. For more information about the new SHRA Performance Appraisal Program and/or available training and online resources, please visit the University Employee Relations website.
