JUNE 12, 2025 – The NC State Office of Information Technology (OIT) has indicated that the next extended maintenance window is Saturday, July 12, and Sunday, July 13. Maintenance is expected to begin at 6 a.m. on Saturday and extend through 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Extended maintenance windows have the potential to impact all major IT systems on campus, including, but not limited to:
- On-campus Networking & Telephony
- Server and System Access for NC State-hosted applications
- VPN access
- Student Information System access and data feeds
- HR and Payroll system access and report automation
- MyPackPortal
- WolfTime, including Kaba web-based timekeeping
- Wolfware/Moodle
- OnBase Document Management System
- Self-Service Password Management
IT Directors are not provided guidance on which systems will be impacted, but this typically means rolling outages rather than a weekend-long outage for all systems. If you notice issues during this window, please assume they are related to this maintenance work; if problems persist until Monday, July 14, please send a support request to dasa-tech-help@ncsu.edu so we can promptly investigate.
Future quarterly extended maintenance windows in 2025-26 will occur on:
- Nov. 1 – 2, 2025
- Jan. 31 – Feb. 1, 2026
- April 4 – 5, 2026
(Additional dates will be added to future postings as they are announced by OIT)
DASA Technology will ensure that a notification is sent at least one week in advance to remind our DASA colleagues of these upcoming extended maintenance weekends.
