MARCH 21, 2025 – The NC State Office of Information Technology (OIT) has indicated that the next extended maintenance window is Saturday, April 5th, and Sunday, April 6th. Maintenance is expected to begin at 6 am on Saturday and extend through 6 pm on Sunday.
Extended maintenance windows have the potential to impact all major IT systems on campus, including, but not limited to:
- On-campus Networking & Telephony
- Server and System Access for NC State-hosted applications
- VPN access
- Student Information System access and data feeds
- HR and Payroll system access and report automation
- MyPackPortal
- WolfTime, including Kaba web-based timekeeping
- Wolfware/Moodle
- OnBase Document Management System
- Self-Service Password Management
IT Directors are not provided guidance on which systems will be impacted, but this typically means rolling outages rather than a weekend-long outage for all systems. If you notice issues during this window, please assume they are related to this maintenance work; if problems persist until Monday, July 15th, please send a support request to dasa-tech-help@ncsu.edu so we can promptly investigate.
Future quarterly extended maintenance windows in 2025 will occur on:
- June 7-8, 2025
- Aug 2-3, 2025
- Oct 25-26, 2025
- Dec 6-7, 2025
