OCTOBER 9, 2024: The Division of Academic and Student Affairs (DASA) is nearing the successful completion of a multi-year effort to reduce Google Workspace storage, demonstrating its commitment to responsible resource management and alignment with NC State’s updated Google storage quotas.
Thanks to the incredible efforts of faculty, staff, and units across DASA, the division is on track to meet the established storage quotas by the October 25th deadline. This achievement highlights the resourcefulness and adaptability of our units.
What’s Next?
With the Google Workspace optimization phase nearing completion, DASA Technology Services is turning its attention to Network Attached Storage (NAS) utilization. This initiative ensures the efficient use of NAS resources and the adherence to university records retention policies. More information about this project’s second phase will be shared in the coming months.
