COVID Laptop Loaner Program Ending
JANUARY 26, 2023 – DASA Technology Strategic Partners have been working with DASA departmental directors for the past 14 months to get employee computer lifecycle replacement back on schedule following the COVID-19 work-from-home adjustment.
We are proud that during NC State’s suspended on-campus operations, we supported the remote work of employees across all DASA departments. One of the key elements of this work was the expansion of loaner laptop availability for employees who needed flexibility that their office computing configuration would not allow.
For the past 18 months, we provided as much flexibility as possible to ease the transition back to a fully on-campus or hybrid work environment; we now need to account for machines and consolidate the loaner program back to its pre-COVID levels.
Over the course of the next month, employees who are still using loaner laptops provided during COVID will be contacted, along with their supervisor, to make plans for the transition back to a permanent departmentally-funded computing solution. If extenuating circumstances that prevent this timeline from working for you and your department’s operations, please raise that concern for further discussion with your DASA Technology Strategic Partner.
If you have a loaner laptop ready for collection by DASA Technology, please submit a ticket by emailing dasa-tech-help@ncsu.edu, and we’ll be happy to pick it up.
We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to continuing to provide you with the best possible support!
