In-Person Google Drive Training with DASA Technology!

Google-Drive-Training

UPDATE: 2/3/23 – Due to lack of registration, the 2/9/23 training has been removed.

JANUARY 12, 2023 – DASA Technology is happy to announce the availability of in-person training on Google Drive in February 2023!

DASA Technology (Keith Medlin & Lisa Miles) will lead a 90-minute hands-on training exclusively for DASA faculty and staff.

Following the training, you will be able to:

  1. Describe the difference between My Drive & Shared Drive.
  2. Tell someone how much storage I’m using across Google Services.
  3. Create, rename, move, and delete files and folders in Google Drive.
  4. Change permissions at the file and folder level in My Drive.
  5. Change permissions in Shared Drives at the file, folder, and Drive level.
  6. Use color coding, folder naming, and search for organizing and finding files.
  7. Describe how I will manage files moving forward.
  8. Tell a coworker how long a file stays in the trash in Google Drive.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn how to get the most out of your Google Drive file storage at NC State and prepare for the previously announced Google Drive quota changes for faculty and staff.

This course is open to all full-time faculty and staff in DASA, and each instance is limited to 16 participants. Please note we need at least 5 participants to run an instance of the course.

If you’re interested in participating:

We look forward to seeing you at the training!
