JULY 13, 2022 – DASA Technology notified the division this spring that Adobe Acrobat Pro licenses would no longer be available for individual purchase beginning July 1, 2022. The Office of Information Technology had not yet finalized its PDF editor selection for the university based on a cross-functional search committee.
The new PDF editor will be Foxit PDF Editor Pro! While the university did make a version of the tool available last week, during our testing, we determined it was not yet ready for rollout across the division.
The good news is that every full-time employee in the division will be eligible to install Foxit PDF Editor Pro as soon as it’s available, whether using a macOS or Windows device. We will be providing a short video demonstrating the installation process and linking to some tutorials to help you get started until such a time that we can develop our resources and roll out a DASA-specific training program.
