Extended Maintenance Weekend – April 2nd and 3rd, 2022

Maintenance Work

March 21, 2022 – The NC State Office of Information Technology (OIT) has indicated that the next quarterly extended maintenance window is Saturday, April 2nd, and Sunday, April 3rd. Maintenance is expected to begin at 6 am on Saturday and extend through 6 pm on Sunday.

Extended maintenance windows have the potential to impact all major IT systems on campus, including, but not limited to:

  • On-campus Networking & Telephony
  • Server and System Access for NC State hosted applications
  • VPN access
  • Student Information System access and data feeds
  • HR and Payroll system access and report automation
  • MyPackPortal
  • WolfTime, including Kaba web-based timekeeping
  • Wolfware/Moodle
  • OnBase Document Management System
  • Self-Service Password Management

IT Directors are not provided guidance on which systems will be impacted, but this has typically meant rolling outages rather than a weekend-long outage for all systems. If you notice issues during this window, please assume it is related to this maintenance work, but if problems persist into Monday, April 4th, please send a support request to dasa-tech-help@ncsu.edu so we can promptly investigate.

Future quarterly extended maintenance windows are scheduled for:

  • July 9th and 10th, 2022
  • November 5th & 6th, 2022

DASA Technology will ensure that a notification is sent at least one week in advance to remind our DASA colleagues of these upcoming extended maintenance weekends.
